Greg Kopchuk is the Master Licensee for ActionCOACH Canada in AB and ON. After working in IT for 18 years, along with three years in the financial industry, six years in real estate and two in advertising, Greg knew he wanted to find a career that would give him more satisfaction and contribute to his community as well. ActionCOACH seemed to be a perfect fit. He was coached by an ActionCOACH and then moved onto providing sales referrals and signing up people to work with coaches. In September 2006, Greg won the rights to become the Master Licensee in the province of Alberta, soon becoming the Master Licensee for parts of Ontario as well. This new role came with a few challenges, but with his experience and business acumen, Greg and his team have shown remarkable gains throughout his territory.
One of the biggest challenges he faces is managing the actual geography of Canada. “It’s like working in 10 different countries sometimes. Each province is so big and they are all regional by nature. But technology and, of course, the great support system we have at ActionCOACH, makes working such a big area very manageable. In fact, this is one of the greatest territories in the ActionCOACH world,” says Kopchuk.
Greg has done a masterful job building ActionCOACH in Canada. The number of coaches in Canada has grown by almost 20% since he’s taken over the territory. More importantly, he’s also improved the overall retention of clients by coaches in Canada. Greg and his team have won CFA awards three years in a row, and are highly recognized in their field.
